Before you decide

Do I still own my validator?
Yes. The provider operates the infrastructure. Ownership and the associated GSX remain yours. Agree with your provider in writing how keys are generated, held, and handed over if you end the arrangement.
Why does Gen6 recommend self-hosting instead?
Every independently operated validator makes the network harder to influence. If operations concentrate with a small number of providers, that advantage weakens. Self-hosting is better for the network and gives you direct control — so it's the recommended path whenever you have the skills and infrastructure for it.
What does it cost?
Roughly $50–90 per validator per month. The range reflects differences in server specification, support level, and any extra services. Providers set their own prices — the figures on each listing are their starting rates.
Is Gen6 party to the agreement?
No. Gen6 verifies that each listed provider holds a current Blockchain Administrator certification and publishes the directory. The service agreement, payment, and support relationship are between you and the provider.
Can a provider run validators on other networks too?
Several do. Each listing shows which other networks that provider supports, if any.
What if my provider stops operating?
Your validator and GSX stay yours. Before you start, agree how the node and keys are transferred back to you, and how much notice each side gives. Ask for this in writing.
